Thanks to the help of many friends and our savings the original $5.608 medical bill is now reduced to $2.608 (April 10, 2021) !
We are still far from our goal, but now more hopeful that it could be reached.

After 39 years in Australia, 37 residing in the Tweed Valley and 16 years managing our Uki Fortuna Second Hand Bookshop in the Old Buttery, we are seeking support for outstanding medical bills.

Li, my life partner, has to pay a huge medical bill for a recent illness: tests and treatments he needed in early February. He is now recovering, but the bill is outstanding and we are unable to pay it.

2020 has been a hard year for everyone and our shop has been also affected by the economic downturn and borders closures.This and other financial commitments are at the root of our present hardship.
